By downloading, installing or using the EverCode application or accessing the website at https://www.getevercode.app, you agree to these Terms of Use. EverCode is operated by Liftoff (SIRET 95299202200014), 2A Place de la Grande Hermine, 35400 Saint-Malo, France.

1. Use of the Service & License

EverCode grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the application and website for personal, family, or authorized business authentication purposes. You agree not to: (a) reverse-engineer or decompile the application outside of permitted interoperability laws; (b) use the service to violate applicable laws; (c) attempt unauthorized access to other users' data; or (d) overload our synchronization infrastructure.

2. Zero-Knowledge Architecture & Master Credentials

You acknowledge and agree that EverCode is engineered on a strict zero-knowledge security model. Liftoff does not possess, store, or have the technical means to reset your master password or decrypt your private credentials. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and backups of your master credentials and recovery sheets.

3. Subscriptions & Payments

EverCode offers free local core features and optional premium plans (Continuity, Family licenses). Subscriptions purchased through the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or Microsoft Store are billed in accordance with the terms of those platforms. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours prior to the end of the current billing cycle. You may manage or cancel your subscription at any time directly through your store account.

Nothing in these terms limits mandatory consumer rights. Store-specific refund, cancellation, billing and withdrawal rules apply to purchases made through the relevant app store.

4. User Content & Local Data Ownership

All two-factor authentication accounts, cryptographic seeds, issuer tags, and personal notes stored in your EverCode vault belong exclusively to you. We claim no ownership over your data, and you may export your standard 2FA database at any time.

5. Intellectual Property

The EverCode software, website, brand, logo, typography, and documentation are owned by Liftoff and protected by international intellectual property and copyright laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute these assets without prior written consent.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

EverCode is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, either express or implied, including merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. While we adhere to rigorous RFC 6238 / RFC 4226 cryptographic standards, we do not warrant that the application will be completely uninterrupted or error-free.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Liftoff and its officers, employees, or contractors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from your use of EverCode, including the loss of access to third-party accounts caused by forgotten master passwords.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to synchronization features if you materially breach these terms. You may terminate your relationship with EverCode at any time by uninstalling the application and requesting deletion of any synchronized cloud profile via [email protected].

9. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by French law. Any dispute arising out of or related to these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Saint-Malo / Rennes, France, except where mandatory consumer protection regulations apply.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest version. Continued use of EverCode after revisions indicates acceptance of the updated terms.
